Cruising Ship (2024)

Hošek Contemporary, Berlin

'Cruising Ship' is a sound and visual art installation with solo performance by Alexey Kokhanov on board of “Heimatland”. Using the sounds of mating nightingales, as well as recycled objects and documentary photographs, Alexey explores the idea of queer cruising as a strategy of claiming and inhabiting spaces. How does sexual desire shape and reshape an environment? 'Cruising Ship' is dedicated to LGBT+ people who face discrimination in the world today.
